It is publicly accessible at a custom sub-domain, where your hosted apps and websites can be made live. Think of it as AWS-like infrastructure where you get compute, storage, databases, and deployment capabilities without managing any of the underlying infrastructure yourself.

How is Abacus AI SuperComputer different from Abacus AI Agent?

Abacus AI Agent is the intelligence layer — the AI agent that can plan, reason, write code, and execute multi-step tasks. Abacus AI SuperComputer is the infrastructure layer — the persistent environment where everything runs. Abacus AI Agent is the brain; Abacus AI SuperComputer is the body.

Is this just a virtual machine?

No. A bare VM gives you compute and storage — but no intelligence. Abacus AI SuperComputer gives you always-on compute plus database creation, persistent storage, an AI agent that can operate the environment, support for leading AI coding models, inbound HTTPS with DNS-backed URLs, enterprise connectors, AWS integration, GitHub integration, and custom agent instructions. It’s infrastructure designed for AI-powered products, not just a Linux box.

Do I need technical skills to use it?

No. You can control your Abacus AI SuperComputer environment entirely through natural language via Abacus. Ask it to deploy an app, set up a database, write a script, or schedule a task — it handles the technical execution. That said, if you are technical, you get full terminal access, root permissions, and a browser-based shell for direct control. Abacus AI SuperComputer works equally well for both audiences.

What operating system does Abacus AI SuperComputer run?

Abacus AI SuperComputer runs Ubuntu Linux, providing a standard and widely-supported environment for development, deployment, and automation.

What are the hardware specs?

Each Abacus AI SuperComputer environment is provisioned with dedicated compute resources including 2 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, and persistent disk storage. The environment is designed for development workloads, automation, and application hosting. You can start and stop the server as needed.

What database capabilities are included?

You can create databases directly within Abacus AI SuperComputer. Your database can be hosted on the Abacus AI SuperComputer. It supports standard SQL operations and is accessible from your applications, scripts, and AI agents. No manual setup or third-party database subscriptions required — data persists across sessions and agents can read and write to your database as part of any workflow.

What AI tools can I use?

Abacus AI SuperComputer supports integration with leading AI coding, reasoning, and agentic development tools:

  • OpenAI Codex — OpenAI’s coding model for writing, debugging, testing, and deploying applications directly inside your cloud environment
  • Anthropic Claude — Advanced reasoning and coding model designed for complex multi-step development, research, and agent workflows
  • Abacus CLI — Command-line interface for the full Abacus.AI platform to manage models, datasets, APIs, deployments, databases, and infrastructure
  • Google Antigravity CLI — Google’s next-generation agent-first CLI for orchestrating multi-agent coding workflows, asynchronous development tasks, MCP integrations, plugins, and cloud operations from the terminal

You can use Codex, Claude, Abacusai and Antigravity directly inside your cloud environment using your existing subscriptions. Additional AI agents, MCP servers, open-source frameworks, SDKs, and developer tooling can also be installed and configured as needed.

Can I install my own software?

Yes. You have full sudo/root access to your Abacus AI SuperComputer environment. Install anything via apt, pip, npm, cargo, or any other package manager. Run Docker containers, compile from source, set up custom services — it’s your environment. You can also install personal agents or open-source apps directly from GitHub repositories.

How does file persistence work?

Abacus AI SuperComputer provides real persistent storage. Your data, files, configurations, installed packages, databases, and running services carry over between sessions. When you come back tomorrow, everything is exactly where you left it. Agents can read and write to your storage layer, build up knowledge over time, and maintain context across long-running workflows.

How does app and API deployment work?

You can describe what you want to build and the AI will generate it. Once ready, you can deploy it directly from Abacus AI SuperComputer as a live API endpoint or a web app — no separate hosting account needed. Your apps get DNS-backed preview URLs with automatic HTTPS and are immediately accessible via a secure public URL. No domain purchase, no SSL certificate management, no reverse proxy configuration required.

Can I access a terminal?

Yes. You get a full terminal inside your cloud environment — run shell commands, install packages, execute scripts, and manage files just like on a local machine. You can also chat with your AI assistant directly in the same interface, or access your environment visually like a remote desktop. All three modes (terminal, chat, and PC access) work together seamlessly.

Can I run multiple services simultaneously?

Yes. Your Abacus AI SuperComputer environment is a full Linux machine. You can run multiple processes, services, web servers, databases, cron jobs, and background tasks simultaneously — just like any server.

Security & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your Abacus AI SuperComputer environment is a dedicated, isolated instance — it’s not shared with other users. Data at rest and in transit is encrypted. Your databases, files, and storage are private to your environment.

Is Abacus AI SOC 2 compliant?

Yes. Abacus.AI maintains SOC 2 compliance for its infrastructure and services, providing enterprise-level security assurance.

Can others access my environment?

By default, your Abacus AI SuperComputer environment is private. Only you (and your configured AI agent) can access it. If you deploy a web app or API via a preview URL, that specific endpoint becomes accessible — but the environment itself remains locked down. You control access at every level.

How much does Abacus AI SuperComputer cost?

How does GitHub integration work?

How do Codex and Claude work in Abacus AI SuperComputer?

Codex (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic) are integrated into Abacus AI SuperComputer as agentic coding models. You can use them directly inside your cloud environment to write code, debug, build apps, and execute complex multi-step programming tasks. They work with your subscription — no separate API key configuration needed.

Can I use Abacus AI CLI from Abacus AI SuperComputer?

Yes. DeepAgent (Abacus AI Agent) is fully integrated with Abacus AI SuperComputer. You can use DeepAgent to control your environment through natural language — deploy apps, manage databases, write scripts, schedule tasks, and execute complex multi-step workflows. DeepAgent operates directly on your persistent environment, so all changes are retained.

Can I use my own API keys?

Yes. While integrated AI tools work with your subscription, you can also configure your own API keys for any service. Install any SDK, configure any integration, and use any third-party API — you have full control.

Can I use VS Code or my preferred IDE?

Yes. Connect to your Abacus AI SuperComputer environment from VS Code using the Remote-SSH extension, and you’ll have a full remote development experience with your preferred editor, extensions, and workflow.

What kind of support is available?

Abacus.AI provides support through the platform’s help center, documentation, and direct support channels. Enterprise plans include dedicated support with SLA guarantees.

What happens if my environment goes down?

Abacus AI SuperComputer runs on enterprise-grade reliable infrastructure with high-availability design. In the rare event of an issue, the platform automatically handles recovery. Your persistent storage ensures no data loss. Enterprise plans include specific uptime SLAs.

Can I back up my environment?

Yes. Your persistent storage and databases can be backed up using standard tools. Export database dumps, archive files, or use DeepAgent to automate backup routines on a schedule.

What are the usage limits?

Your subscription covers your cloud environment access. AI model usage (for generating responses, running agents, and executing code) draws from your account’s credit balance. You can view your credit usage and history in the Abacus.AI billing dashboard.

Can I run production workloads?

Yes. Abacus AI SuperComputer’s always-on architecture, persistent storage, database capabilities, and inbound HTTPS connectivity make it suitable for production workloads.
